Zesty Cranberry Cream Cheese Dip

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! I am thankful for all of my blog followers! I’m so blessed to have so many wonderful supporters! May you enjoy this day of thanks with those closest to you! I thought I would share an unusual Thanksgiving dish with you. This dip would be a great day after Thanksgiving dish to use up the rest of those cranberries. I made mine today as an appetizer. Zesty, tart and sweet, a party for your palette!

Zesty Cream Cheese Cranberry Dip

What you need;
8oz cream cheese, softened
1 lime
1 tsp ground cumin
1 cup of cranberry sauce (homemade recipe below)
3 green onions, diced

How to make;
Mix cream cheese, juice of one lime and 1 tsp of cumin together until blended well. Spread the cream cheese mixture along the bottom of a shallow serving dish. Spread the cranberry sauce evenly over the cream cheese. Top with diced scallions. Chill for at least one hour. Serve with crackers. Enjoy!

Recipe for Cranberry Sauce

18 oz fresh cranberries (1 1/2 bags)
2 medium size oranges
3/4 c sugar
1/4 c honey
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt

How to make;
Rinse cranberries and put into a saucepan over medium heat. Add the zest and juice of two medium sized oranges to the pan. Stir in the sugar, honey, cinnamon and salt.
